10 inspirational quotes than can improve yourself

"Life With Woody" 10 inspirational quotes than can improve yourself

It might take a little coffee or probably a few rounds of beer or any other booze you could get your hands on when it comes to relaxing after a hard day's work. Well, yeah I'm guilty about that one as well, unless I'm caught dead wearing a lampshade over my head after a few rounds of vodka… half-naked! Okay, bad example and I apologize to everyone reading this after getting nightmares about me in that state of drunken stupor.

Just don't ask how it happened, please.

But what's really interesting is that how do people go through the usual part of life when faced with vein-popping stress? I mean, the new age thing like Zen or yoga is one of the good things and it actually works. Is there room for the intellectual side of people who can actually smell the roses-in-a-can while on the move? It kind of had me thinking that there really must be something in this 'mind-over-matter' thing.

Humor is indeed the best medicine there is whenever you are. I mean anyone can pay good money to listen to a comedian just to make you wet your pants after laughing so hard. Despite of what's been happening, and to those who has gone though the ordeal, it's better to just laugh while facing the troubles with a clear mind than anger with a clouded vision. One of my favorite celebrities of all time may have to be Woody Allen. Now this is one guy who gives you the in-your-face bluntness that he pulls out with gusto, even without even trying. You can talk just about anything with a man, and he's bound to mock the subject and you'll end up laughing rather than being upset about it.

Woody Allen has this to say:

1. "Money is better than poverty, if only for financial reasons." It sounds good to me, I mean the practicality of all things does involve money but it doesn't have to take an arm and a leg to get it.

2. "I believe there is something out there watching us. Unfortunately, it's the government." 'Nuff said.

3. "There are worse things in life than death. Have you ever spent an evening with an insurance salesman?" This happens to be one of the classic ones. I mean the issue about life's little problems isn't all that bad, until 'he' shows up.

Sure, relationships can get complicated, or does have its complications that probably any author about relationships is bound to discover it soon. We follow what our heart desires, unless you're talking about the heart as in the heart that pump blood throughout your body.

4. "Love is the answer, but while you're waiting for the answer, sex raises some pretty interesting questions." And if you want more, just keep on asking!

5. "A fast word about oral contraception. I asked a girl to go to bed with me, she said 'no'." It sounds, 'practical', I think.

And when it comes to everyday life, he really knows how to make the best out of every possible scenario, and it doesn't involve a lawsuit if he strikes a nerve.

6. "Basically my wife was immature. I'd be at home in the bath and she'd come in and sink my boats." I never had a boat in my bathtub before. Just staring at it while soaking in hot water makes me seasick already.

7. "I am not afraid of death, I just don't want to be there when it happens." If it rains, it pours.

8. "I am thankful for laughter, except when milk comes out of my nose." It could get worse when you're guzzling on beer… or mouthwash, and it happened to me once!

9. "If you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans." At least he doesn't smite us with lightning, and I'm thankful for that.

And despite of what may happen to all of us in the next ten, twenty, or even thirty years, I guess we all have to see things in a different kind of light and not just perspective. I can't seem to imagine life without any piece of wisdom that could guide us. Whether we're religious or not, it takes more courage to accept your fears and learn how to deal with them is all that matters when it comes to even just getting along.

And to sum things up, here is the last nugget of wisdom to go by… however, whenever, and wherever we may be.

10. "The talent for being happy is appreciating and liking what you have, instead of what you don't have."

Ciao!

Analyzing Website Traffic

===================================================
Analyzing Website Traffic
===================================================

Analyzing your web traffic statistics can be an invaluable
tool for a number of different reasons. But before you can
make full use of this tool, you need to understand how to
interpret the data.

Most web hosting companies will provide you with basic web
traffic information that you then have to interpret and
make pertinent use of. However, the data you receive from
your host company can be overwhelming if you don't
understand how to apply it to your particular business and
website. Let's start by examining the most basic data - the
average visitors to your site on a daily, weekly, and
monthly basis.

These figures are the most accurate measure of your
website's activity. It would appear on the surface that the
more traffic you see recorded, the better you can assume
your website is doing, but this is an inaccurate
perception. You must also look at the behavior of your
visitors once they come to your website to accurately gauge
the effectiveness of your site.

There is often a great misconception about what is commonly
known as "hits" and what is really effective, quality
traffic to your site. Hits simply means the number of
information requests received by the server. If you think
about the fact that a hit can simply equate to the number
of graphics per page, you will get an idea of how overblown
the concept of hits can be. For example, if your homepage
has 15 graphics on it, the server records this as 15 hits,
when in reality we are talking about a single visitor
checking out a single page on your site. As you can see,
hits are not useful in analyzing your website traffic.

The more visitors that come to your website, the more
accurate your interpretation will become. The greater the
traffic is to your website, the more precise your analysis
will be of overall trends in visitor behavior. The smaller
the number of visitors, the more a few anomalous visitors
can distort the analysis.

The aim is to use the web traffic statistics to figure out
how well or how poorly your site is working for your
visitors. One way to determine this is to find out how long
on average your visitors spend on your site. If the time
spent is relatively brief, it usually indicates an
underlying problem. Then the challenge is to figure out
what that problem is.

It could be that your keywords are directing the wrong type
of visitors to your website, or that your graphics are
confusing or intimidating, causing the visitor to exit
rapidly. Use the knowledge of how much time visitors are
spending on your site to pinpoint specific problems, and
after you fix those problems, continue to use time spent as
a gauge of how effective your fix has been.

Additionally, web traffic stats can help you determine
effective and ineffective areas of your website. If you
have a page that you believe is important, but visitors are
exiting it rapidly, that page needs attention. You could,
for example, consider improving the link to this page by
making the link more noticeable and enticing, or you could
improve the look of the page or the ease that your visitors
can access the necessary information on that page.

If, on the other hand, you notice that visitors are
spending a lot of time on pages that you think are less
important, you might consider moving some of your sales
copy and marketing focus to that particular page.

As you can see, these statistics will reveal vital
information about the effectiveness of individual pages,
and visitor habits and motivation. This is essential
information to any successful Internet marketing campaign.

Your website undoubtedly has exit pages, such as a final
order or contact form. This is a page you can expect your
visitor to exit rapidly. However, not every visitor to your
site is going to find exactly what he or she is looking
for, so statistics may show you a number of different exit
pages. This is normal unless you notice a exit trend on a
particular page that is not intended as an exit page. In
the case that a significant percentage of visitors are
exiting your website on a page not designed for that
purpose, you must closely examine that particular page to
discern what the problem is. Once you pinpoint potential
weaknesses on that page, minor modifications in content or
graphic may have a significant impact on the keeping
visitors moving through your site instead of exiting at the
wrong page.

After you have analyzed your visitor statistics, it's time
to turn to your keywords and phrases. Notice if particular
keywords are directing a specific type of visitor to your
site. The more targeted the visitor - meaning that they
find what they are looking for on your site, and even
better, fill out your contact form or make a purchase - the
more valuable that keyword is.

However, if you find a large number of visitors are being
directed - or should I say misdirected - to your site by a
particular keyword or phrase, that keyword demands
adjustment. Keywords are vital to bringing quality visitors
to your site who are ready to do business with you. Close
analysis of the keywords your visitors are using to find
your site will give you a vital understanding of your
visitor's needs and motivations.

Finally, if you notice that users are finding your website
by typing in your company name, break open the champagne!
It means you have achieved a significant level of brand
recognition, and this is a sure sign of burgeoning success.

Here's Why Paying For Your Traffic Is A Smart Move

There are so many success stories you will hear about businesses making it good in the internet. The troubling thing is, there are maybe a tenfold or even a hundredfold of stories contradictory to theirs. Many have unsuccessfully launched a business enterprise that is internet based but only a handful shall succeed.

Is this through luck? That is even more remote. It takes good business sense and a lot of help and team effort. Most importantly, it is the eagerness to succeed and the determination to learn and the willingness to invest in a lot of hard work and some money.

The Very Basic

Like Neo, traffic is “The One”. Without traffic, all your effort would just go to waste. Every business needs customers, without them you wouldn’t have anyone to sell your products to. In the internet world traffic is the walk in customer. The more traffic you have the more people would be able to sell your products to.

But like any business that’s in every corner building or in the mall, not everyone that goes in will buy, but the greater of number that do come in to browse your merchandise, the greater number of people that will buy your products. It is a simple and known fact.

But, how do you get traffic, traffic large enough that could make a small percentage of eventual buyers enough to make a good profit. Many big companies generate traffic of tens of thousands a day and a measly ten to fifteen percent actually buys, but that small percentage is enough to provide them with good business.

Many of these success stories get their traffic from paying others. Yes that’s right; you have to spend money to make money. Advertising is the key. The more people that knows that your site exists; the more people would of course go to your site, that’s common sense.

While there are many ways that can get you advertising for free, this do not generate the same high volume as those methods that are getting paid. These paid advertisements include advertising schemes by Google and Yahoo.

The Value of Searches

The search and will be the easiest and fastest medium in finding what a person needs in the internet. Search engines have been very popular because they provide a vital service to many people. They are free and easy to use. With this popularity, they get many visitors and clicks that they are the most common sites that people go to. It is easy to understand why so many companies would pay to advertise with these search engines.

Search engines provide information to the millions of users that they have each day. They provide links to many sites that a user may be looking for. If your sites link pop up in the high ranks of the search results page, you get a great chance that they will go to your site. While search engine optimization is a cheaper and low cost way to get your site a high rank, paying for advertisements will ensure that you will be on the top ranks.

When you pay for your advertisements, it is like paying for your traffic. This may sound like not such a good idea, but the payoffs would tell a different story. When you pay for your traffic, you are guaranteed of a consistent traffic flow to your site. You will never go with an empty sales day.

Paying for your Traffic

Usually, you will be charged with the number of hits a link gets when your ads is clicked, this is called pay per click. For some search engines, you will be charged with the number of times your ad shows up when a certain keyword or keyword phrase is searched. It is imperative that you have good keyword content in your ad. There are many tools that aid you in using the right keyword for the right moment.

All the money you spend in paying for your traffic will not be for naught. You will get an impressive boost in traffic which will also result to a great boost in your sales figures. Paying for your traffic would be a really good idea and you will get all the benefits it has to offer.

Effectively Using Overture/Yahoo To Get Website Visitors

Overture or now known as Yahoo because of Yahoo’s takeover, was the original inventor of the use of the P4P or Pay for Performance. Overture saw that the internet was fast becoming the easiest and most convenient way to shop, and advertising was going to hit at an all time high because of the many businesses in the arena.

To get a person to go to a site than others, it needs to be very visible. Providing ads that could direct potential consumers and costumers to their site would allow them to have an increase in traffic as well as sales. Yahoo provides a service that can put a site or company’s ad in their sites that can be shown when certain keywords are inputted.

Yahoo offers a chance for any company to increase their traffic by using their services. With more people being aware of your site, there would be more traffic and visitors to your site given the chance to view your pages as well as your products. With even a small percentage of successful sales, with a high traffic volume this could still be a substantial figure for your company.

Getting a consistent substantial flow of website visitors is every company’s goal. Many methods are devised and utilized to ensure that there would be more people to boost the sales and to be aware of the existence of such a product or service. Website visitors are potentially the life blood of your internet based business.

Yahoo/Overture utilizes the same principle as Google’s Adwords. In fact, they are very similar to each other that they use keyword and keyword phrase searches and to determine which ads to show per search. When a person types in a keyword or keyword phrase to search for anything, the search engines gives out the results in a page. Then at the right side of the page, you will see selected ads that have paid for their ads to be viewed with certain keywords and keyword phrases searched.

For example, Lets say you run a car parts retail/wholesale site. You choose keywords that can prompt or trigger your ads to be shown in the page when a keyword is searched. When a search engine user types in Honda Accord, your ad may come up if you have designated that as one of your keywords. You don’t need to fully optimize your site with Search Engine Optimization methods and techniques.

While some labor so hard to make their site one of the high ranking sites per keyword search, you get the chance to be on the top of the list or at least in the first page of a search result increasing your chance to be clicked on. With that, you drive traffic and website visitors to your site a lot faster.

You will have to pony up some cash when using this service though. There are different ways Yahoo/Overture will charge you. It may be in the number of Keywords or Keyword phrases your ad uses or in the many times your ad is clicked on. Others offer many other services like having your ad show up not only in the search engine pages but also with some third party sites.

Third party sites support ads that have the same theme or niche as them. With more areas your ad is shown, you increase the chances of people knowing about your site or product. With more website visitors you increase the sales of your site which makes your investment with your ads a wise one.

With so many competitions in the internet based businesses, it is necessary to take a huge leap forward from the pack by advertising. Yahoo/Overture will be a great place to start. Many have utilized their services and have reaped the rewards of this decision. It’s a marketing strategy that will increase your website visitors as well as increase your sales resulting to profit.

It takes money to make money, while there are some methods that are basically low cost or free, using a marketing service such as what Yahoo/Overture offers will provide results faster and on a larger scale. Many businesses have learned this the hard way, don’t be counted with them.

Here are four of them.

1) Put up a good web form in your site that immediately follows the end of your content. While some may say this is too soon to subscribe for a website visitors application, try to remember that your homepage should provide a quick good impression. If somehow a website visitor finds something that he or she doesn’t like and turns them off, they may just forget about signing up.

A good web form for subscribing to an opt-in list is not hard to do. Just write a simple short statement about how they would like to see more and get updated about the site. Then there should be an area where they could put in their names and e-mail address. This web form will automatically save and send you the data’s inputted. 3 Quick And Easy Ways To Build A Profitable Opt In List

You finally realize that you need a good opt-in list. After reading countless articles and sought expert advices and have read many success stories of people creating a small fortune with opt-in lists you finally decide to have one of your own. Then it happens, you think you have known everything there is to know about opt-in lists and have followed their advices to the T and you still weren’t able to make a profit.

In fact, you may be losing money. You maybe hiring writers to help you out, or there are some expenses incurred, even if you have a big list, but only a very small percentage actually buys from you, your still losing profit. You’ll realize that after a few months when you see your statistics and sales figures.

So what could have gone wrong? Why have others succeeded where you have failed? The most common mistake is that you dived straight right in. You chose a topic where you think could be quite popular and would earn you money. This just not the case. Just because you wrote people from the list doesn’t mean they are going to buy instantly.

Here I will offer more advice, for those who have started an opt-in list and have failed, you can rejuvenate your failed venture. For those who are starting, here are three quick and easy ways to build a profitable opt-in list.
1) Get your customers to trust you and your products first. Just launching your opt-in list would not make you an expert and a believable seller. Put many articles first before you start an opt-in list. Write about the topic you know and have started and used for your site. Try to put forums first to gain knowledge about your customers about their wants and needs and target those wants and needs.

Join forums from other sites as well. Provide expert advices and recommendations. When you feel that people trust you already, you will be able to start your own opt-in list. You can build a base as well with other forum users. You can ask them to join your list. Friends are always good customers. Put up a link to your site so that they may be able to see what you're business is all about.

The certain truth is, the money will only come in when the consumers and subscribers believe and trust in you. They want a product or service that could be a good exchange for their money. People are not going to buy something out of your recommendation if they don’t know you.

2) Find a product or service that people want and need. Although it may not be your forte, if you provide a service and product that you have researched and learned about well, you can carry it on forward. Invest your time, effort and money that you could sell as well as the buyers or subscribers of your opt-in list can use.

While it is true that it is best to sell something that you have interest in, there are not many people who have the same interest as you if you decide to sell something that is not entirely popular or profitable. Do your research well and you would see the profits come in. Also provide your subscribers with promotional material that they could actually use and spread around.

3) Make friends with other opt-in list users. This is basically beneficial especially if it is someone who has already launched a successful opt-in list. These are people that have the experience in this venture and experience is still the best teacher. While there are many articles available for you in the internet to use, there is nothing like getting a first hand account from someone you trust.

Experienced opt-in list users will be able to tell you what to do and what not to do because they have gone through it. While different situations occur for different people, the general concept can still be very helpful. There are many things to avoid and these people will be able to tell you which ones.

Building a profitable opt-in list don’t just happen overnight. There are many preparations and effort to do. Opt-in lists are built from scratch, as your list grows, you should also maintain the quality of your list. Keep it organized and manageable. Get or hire help if need be, just make sure that your subscribers are happy and satisfied and they will be willing to buy from you.

How To Build A List Of Eager Subscribers

How To Build A List Of Eager Subscribers

Every online business provides great service to generate satisfaction among their customers. As each and every customer receives satisfaction over their products or the services they get, there is a great chance that they will become a return customer and buy again. Better yet, they will recommend you to other people that could generate more business for you and your site.

As more traffic is driven to your site, you can entice many of them to subscribe to your mailing list or opt-in list. This is a list where in website visitors agree to be sent promotional materials such as newsletters, catalogs and such that could keep them updated about your site or the niche of your site. These promotional materials are sent via e-mail to the members of the list in different time intervals.

When using e-mail as the media of your marketing and advertisements, you eliminate the need for high costs. Email is free and if you can manage to make your own promotional advertisements you can also save a bundle there. With an opt-in subscribers list, you are pretty sure that what you are sending out is received, viewed and read by the subscribers and not simply being deleted. They have signed up for service and have consented in receiving it.

This means that there are constant reminders to your subscribers about all your products, new products and services as well as any promotions and special deals you are having. There is also the chance that they can be forwarded to other potential customers as they tell their friends and families about you and your site.

Of course you should be also aware that a subscriber may unsubscribe when they feel that they are not getting what they want or expected. Make sure that they are satisfied with your opt-in marketing strategies and keep them excited in receiving your newsletters and catalogs. Here are some tips that can help you build a list of eager subscribers.

Make your promotional materials interesting and fun. Try to use a little creativity but not too over artsy. Build around what your product or service is about. For example; if you are selling car parts, put some pictures of what is new in the auto parts world, a new wing door possibly that can fit any car and make it look like a Lamborghini.

Try to research what people are looking for, these way, you stay one step ahead of them all the time and you will be their bearer of new tidings. They will be eager to receive what you are sending them because they new you always have fresh and new things to share with them.

Write good articles that can be very informational but light at the same time. If your subscribers enjoy your articles, they will go to your site by clicking the links that you will be putting on your newsletter to read some more. You can provide articles that can connect to many people. Be diverse in your articles. Put something humorous, then put something informational, then put something that has both.

Are you wary about this because you don’t like writing? No problem, there are many professional and experienced article writers that   can do the job for you for minimal fees. They know what they are doing and can provide the need that you have for your newsletters, the money that you pay for your articles are going to be met by the many sign-ups and the potential profit from the sales that you will get.

Create and send an E-book to your customers about anything that is related to your business or site. Use your knowledge and expertise in the field you have chosen to help other people who are similarly interested. Offer this e-book for free. You can write about anything informational and helpful to your subscribers. For example; you can do manuals and guides in so many things. This e-book could be used as a reference for many people.

Share this e-book with everyone, even other sites; just make sure that they don’t change the links in the e-book that will lead people to your site. If you want, you can always get some people to write it for you just like your articles. Your investment once again will be covered by the great marketing this will generate.

Add e-coupons in your newsletters that will help them avail to special discounts. Put a control number in your e-coupon so that they can only be used once. When people get discounts that can be found in your newsletters, they will be eager to receive your newsletter in anticipation of what you are promoting next.

If your subscribers can get benefits from your newsletters, they will be very eager to receive them. Just don’t flood your mailing list with mails so that you don’t annoy your subscribers.

3 Things All Affiliate Marketers Need To Survive Online

3 Things All Affiliate Marketers Need To Survive Online

Every affiliate marketer is always looking for the successful market that gives the biggest paycheck. Sometimes they think it is a magic formula that is readily available for them. Actually, it is more complicated than that. It is just good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication.
There are tactics that have worked before with online marketing and is continuing to work in the online affiliate marketing world of today. With these top three marketing tips, you will be able to able to increase your sales and survive in the affiliate marketing online.

What are these three tactics?

1. Using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do to those who buys them. Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing.

You can also write articles highlighting the uses of the product and include them on the website as an additional page. Make the pages attractive compelling and include calls to act on the information. Each headline should attract the readers to try and read more, even contact you. Highlight your special points. This will help your readers to learn what the page is about and will want to find out more.

2. Offer free reports to your readers. If possible position them at the very top side of your page so it they simply cannot be missed. Try to create autoresponder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box. According to research, a sale is closed usually on the seventh contact with a prospect.

Only two things can possibly happen with the web page alone: closed sale or the prospect leaving the page and never return again. By placing useful information into their inboxes at certain specified period, you will remind them of the product they thought they want later and will find out that the sale is closed. Be sure that the content is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product. Do not make it sound like a sales pitch.

Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in the email. As much as possible, avoid using the word “free” because there are still older spam filters that dumps those kind of contents into the junk before even anyone reading them first. Convince those who signed up for your free reports that they will be missing something big if they do not avail of your products and services.

3. Get the kind of traffic that is targeted to your product. Just think, if the person who visited your website has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, they will be among those who move on and never come back. Write articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports. This way you can locate publications that is focusing on your target customers and what you have put up might just grab their interest.

Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with at least 300-600 words in length. By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day.
Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or get your services. If you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, that means you can made 10 sales based on the average statistic.

The tactics given above does not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires a little time and an action plan on your part.

Try to use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs. You can end maintaining a good source of income and surviving in this business that not all marketers can do.
Besides, think of the huge paychecks you will be receiving…

Writing Articles as an Affordable Internet Marketing Method

From Overture, a keyword suggestion tool, you will see the millions of searches done to a certain keyword. When these keywords are typed on search boxes of search engines, indexed websites containing articles with those keywords will be displayed. And this is what leads traffic to websites with keyword-rich articles. Yes, the magic word is articles.

Content is king. You can say that again. That is why writing articles is one of the most utilized Internet marketing media today. Internet surfers just can't get enough of information on various fields. Providing information through these articles is a surefire way to drive hot traffic to your web site.

Why is this so? Here are the benefits that writing articles can give your Internet business.

1. It's absolutely free.

Too good to be true? Not. Okay, you have to pay for your Internet Service Provider. That's it. All you need is your thoughts, your computer, and your hands. If you have those, nothing will stop you from typing words that will make you complete that article for your website. On which aspect of that process did you really shell out any cent? Maybe later when your electric bills come.

2. Your website will be noticed in a short period of time.

Submit that article of yours to article directories that get the most web traffic and in no time your web site will be crawled. That is if you don't forget including your resource box or byline.

3. Obtain back links automatically.

When you submit your articles to directories, surely, other websites will make use of your article too. With the copyright terms of your articles, the URL of your website will still be in tact and will subsequently direct more traffic to your website.

4. Improve your reputation.

As an Internet marketer, if you plainly display your products on your website, you will not gain much conversion rate. Conversion is when your traffic converts to sales. You have to show that you are knowledgeable on your field. And what better way to show that than by writing articles that will allow you some bragging rights, right?

Just make your creative juices flow and jot down or key in those ideas quickly to jumpstart your article writing momentum. With those benefits listed above, a writer's block is the last problem you will ever be able to surmount.

Affiliate Marketing: Why is it One of the Most Cost-Effective Ways to Advertise your Business

Ever heard of affiliate programs? These are forms of Internet advertising that rewards the affiliates for driving traffic to the advertiser or for other transactions. The advertiser pays the affiliate to place a link on their website, and the affiliate sends traffic to the advertiser in return. Simply put, it's about paying commissions to people who help you make sales. It's that easy. NOT.

Affiliate marketing has its ups and downs. It could be draining if you are not armed with updated information and the technical how-tos. But this article's sole objective is to reach out to you and not to badmouth affiliate marketing.

Here are the following reasons on why web marketers go gaga over affiliate marketing as a form of Internet advertisement.

1. Low cost

Many are scared to go on a home based business because of the capital required. In affiliate marketing, you don't have to spend much to start raking in moolah.

2. Inventories not included

Product management fuss could be very stressing. An inventory is not asked to be maintained. The merchant does the maintenance required.

3. Unlimited income through leverage

When you have a paid job, your monthly income mainly relies on whether you go to work or not. With affiliate marketing, your affiliates could all just lead traffic to your site without having to lift a finger after providing them your ad copy and links. Though not every web marketer earns limitless, it still is a fact that all the necessary matters for the advertiser or Internet marketer are all there to be successful.

4. Go worldwide

With affiliate marketing, you are dealing with a global market place. All you have to do is choose a niche product and prepare all the necessary tools for your affiliates to lead traffic from just about anywhere to your website.

5. Low risk

The very main reason for Internet marketer's enthusiasm with affiliate marketing is its having a low risk factor. Especially for those with low budget set aside for advertising, affiliate marketing is just the way to do it.

6. No closing time

With affiliate marketing, your business works every single second of the day while targeting a worldwide market! What could be better than that?

But all of these will be put to waste if you don't have the right niche product and all the other important tools to make it big in affiliate marketing, i.e., well-SEO-ed website. So better work on this first before ever considering those benefits.

Tips to Get Repeat Web Traffic

Tips to Get Repeat Web Traffic

1. Update the pages on your website frequently. Stagnant sites are dropped by some search engines. You can even put a date counter on the page to show when it was last updated.

2. Offer additional value on your website. For affiliates and partners you can place links to their sites and products and ask them to do the same for you. You can also advertise their books or videos, if these products relate to your industry and are not in competition with your own product.

3. You can allow customers to ‘opt in’ to get discounts and special offers. Place a link on your site to invite customers to ‘opt in’ to get a monthly newsletter or valuable coupons.

4. Add a link to your primary page with a script ‘Book Mark or Add this site to your Favorites’.

5. Add a link ‘Recommend this site to a Friend’ so that the visitor can email your website link, with a prewritten title, “Thought you might be interested in this”, just by clicking on it.

6. Brand your website so that visitors always know they are on your site. Use consistent colors, logos and slogans and always provide a ‘Contact Us’ link on each page.

7. Create a ‘Our Policies’ page that clearly defines your philosophy and principles in dealing with your customers. Also post your privacy policy as well so that clients know they are secure when they visit your site.

8. Create a FAQ page which addresses most of the doubts and clarifications about your product or your company that are likely to be asked. This helps to resolve most of the customers doubts in their first visit to your site.

8. Ensure that each page on your website has appropriate titles and keywords so that your customer can find their way back to your site if they lose the book mark.

9. Never spam a client, who has opted for newsletters, with unsolicited emails. Later if they decide they want to ‘opt out’ of the mailings, be sure you honor their request and take them off the mailing list. They may still come back if they like your products. But they will certainly not come back if you continue to flood their email box with mails they no longer wish to receive.

Must Have Features Your Web Site

Must Have Features Your Web Site

Just don’t focus on the home page, keywords and titles.
The first step to sales when customers visit your site to see the products they were looking for. Of course, search engine optimization and better rankings can’t keep your customer on your site or make them buy. The customer having visited your site, now ensure that he gets interested in your products or services and stays around. Motivate him to buy the product by providing clear and unambiguous information. Thus if you happen to sell more than one product or service, provide all necessary information about this, may be by keeping the  information at a different page. By providing suitable and easily visible links, the customer can navigate to these pages and get the details.

Understanding Your Target Customer
If you design a website you think will attract clients, but you don’t really know who your customers are and what they want to buy, it is unlikely you make much money. Website business is an extension or replacement for a standard storefront. You can send email to your existing clients and ask them to complete a survey or even while they are browsing on your website. Ask them about their choices. Why do they like your products? Do you discount prices or offer coupons? Are your prices consistently lower than others? Is your shipping price cheaper? Do you respond faster to client questions? Are your product descriptions better? Your return policies and guarantees better than your competitor’s? To know your customer you can check credit card records or ask your customer to complete a simple contact form with name, address, age, gender, etc. when they purchase a product.

Does your website give enough contact information?

When you sell from a website, your customer can buy your products 24 hrs a day and also your customers may be from other states that are thousands of miles away. Always provide contact information, preferably on every page of your website, complete with mailing address, telephone number and an email address that reaches you. People may need to contact you about sales, general information or technical problems on your site. Also have your email forwarded to another email address if you do not check your website mailbox often. When customer wants to buy online provide enough options like credit card, PayPal or other online payment service.

The Many Facets of Viral Marketing

In the beginning, e-mail was the one way that viral marketing was started. Since that long ago day, viral marketing has gone from a marketing strategy to an art form and there are many ways to accomplish the objective of creating a successful viral marketing campaign. Seven of those ways are:

1. E-mail: It was first but it is still around and still used. It is, however, getting a little harder to use as more and more government restrictions are placed on it. Still… it does work.

2. Newsletters: This is an extension of e-mail but it a very effective tool. If you include enough timely and valuable information, a good newsletter can drive up the number of visits to your website.

3. Blogging: Providing the tools on your website to enable bloggers to interact with one another is a terrific way to get the message about your product of service out there and being talked about. Bloggers have their ears to the ground for new products and services.

4. Chat Rooms: A chat room on your website can and does encourage interaction among your customers and that can’t be a bad thing. Also, you can use the chat room to schedule special events like having an expert available to answer questions on a given day at a given time.

5. Tell-a-friend Script: If you add this with a statement saying that e-mail addresses supplied will never be shared with third parties, you can increase your potential customer list greatly.

6. Video Clips: Including cool video clips on your website will keep the interest up and increase traffic.

7. Flash Games: Although they are a little costly to start, they are an extremely effective tool to get your viral marketing campaign going. Once they are launched, they require nothing more from you.

Successful Forum Viral Marketing

In order to be successful using forums to do viral marketing there are some things that are required.

Do Your Homework: Prior to joining any forum, you must do some research.

1. Join relevant forums that are in some way related to the promotion’s primary sales market. For example, someone involved with a health related product, many types of forums could apply….everything from holistic medicine to stay-at-home moms.

2. Choose popular forums.  There is no point in wasting your time and energy on forums that few members and few posts. Page raking and the amount of active members are two good ways to check for this.

3. Choose forums that allow sig tags.  If it’s possible read the rules before joining and pay attention to them. Your time is important, too.  It is better to find out that a forum doesn’t allow posts with sig tags before you go to the time and trouble of joining.

After You Have Joined: OK…you have chosen two or three forums that meet your requirements…now what?

1. Keep your sig tag short and update it regularly.  The ideal thing is to limit yourself to one link, preferably to your main website.

2. Never create posts that are nothing more than an advertisement. This all but a universal rule and only displays the marketers lack of experience if he does so.  At best this kind of post will be deleted by the monitors….at worst, it is grounds for being banned.

3. Work the room.  Be an active member on the forum. Plan to spend at least an hour each day there and take the time to get to know the users. Take the time to introduce yourself with intelligent questions depending upon the forum’s topic.

As a marketer becomes a regular member, they will hopefully develop a good reputation and without saying a word about their promotion, those who are interested in their product will approach them.

How to Get and Use E-Mail Addresses for Viral Advertising

Viral marketing has an array of possibilities and ways to achieve your overall goals. However, just like everything else, preplanning and the right setup to create success are the things you will need to make it work for you and your e-business.

The first thing you want to be sure you don’t do is get over-zealous. The one thing you need to avoid at all costs is spamming. Spamming is still used widely, but with the government establishing more restrictions and fines you don’t want this to be a problem for you. The professional image of your site will also suffer if you send mail blatantly.

Spamming requires a database that contains a huge list of e-mail addresses set up so that the message can be delivered with one click. The problem with it (aside from the governmental restrictions and associated fines) is that it irritates the recipients and kills the validity of your campaign, which in turn kills the factors that would motivate someone to refer your site.

You need to personalize by creating your website with personal appeal. You must see to it that your website makes your customers feel safe, secure and cared for. E-mail is important, because it is going to be one of the most affordable ways to keep in touch with your customers.

The proper way to handle email permission is to first let your customer know that you will not transmit their e-mail addresses to third party companies. The next thing to do is to attach the need for their e-mail addresses to benefits they can receive.

For example: Coupons or discounts that are only available to members who receive e-mail notifications. With each e-mail you send the viral marketing effect takes place.

"Folksonomies" - a New Viral Marketing Tool

A new consumer phenomenon is called "tagging" or "folksonomies" (short for folks and taxonomy). Tagging is powerful because consumers are creating an organizational structure for online content. Folksonomies not only enable people to file away content under tags, but, even better, share it with others by filing it under a global taxonomy that they created.

Here's how tagging works. Using sites such as del.icio.us - a bookmark sharing site – and Flickr - a photo sharing site - consumers are collaborating on categorizing online content under certain keywords, or tags.

For instance, an individual can post photographs of their iPod on Flickr and file it under the tag "iPod." These images are now not only visible under the individual user's iPod tag but also under the community iPod tag that displays all images consumers are generating and filing under the keyword. Right now Flickr has more than 3,500 photos that are labeled "iPod."

Tagging is catching on because it is a natural complement to search. Type the word "blogs" into Google and it can't tell if you are searching for information about how to launch a blog, how to read blogs, or just what. Large and small sites alike are already getting on to the folksonomy train. They are rolling out tag-like structures to help users more easily locate content that's relevant to them.

Although tags are far from perfect, marketers should, nevertheless, be using them to keep a finger on the pulse of the American public. Start subscribing to RSS feeds to monitor how consumers are tagging information related to your product, service, company or space. These are living focus groups that are available for free, 24/7. Folksonomy sites can be also be carefully used to unleash viral marketing campaigns - with a caveat. Marketers should be transparent in who they are, why they are posting the link/photos and avoid spamming the services.

So Many Affiliate Programs! Which One Do I Choose?

Ask questions first before you join an affiliate program. Do a little research about the choices of program that you intend to join into. Get some answers because they will be the deciding point of what you will be achieving later on.

Will it cost you anything to join? Most affiliate programs being offered today are absolutely free of charge. So why settle for those that charge you some dollars before joining.

When do they issue the commission checks? Every program is different. Some issue their checks once a month, every quarter, etc. Select the one that is suited to your payment time choice. Many affiliate programs are setting a minimum earned commission amount that an affiliate must meet or exceed in order for their checks to be issued.

What is the hit per sale ratio? This is the average number of hits to a banner or text link it takes to generate a sale based on all affiliate statistics. This factor is extremely important because this will tell you how much traffic you must generate before you can earn a commission from the sale.

How are referrals from an affiliate’s site tracked and for how long do they remain in the system? You need to be confident on the program enough to track those people you refer from your site. This is the only way that you can credit for a sale. The period of time that those people stay in the system is also important. This is because some visitors do not buy initially but may want to return later to make the purchase. Know if you will still get credit for the sale if it is done some months from a certain day.

What are the kinds of affiliate stats available? Your choice of affiliate program should be capable of offering detailed stats. They should be available online anytime you decide to check them out. Constantly checking your individual stats is important to know how many impressions, hits and sales are already generated from your site. Impressions are the number of times the banner or text link was viewed by a visitor of your site. A hit is the one clicking on the banner or text links.

Does the affiliate program also pay for the hits and impressions besides the commissions on sales? It is important that impressions and hits are also paid, as this will add to the earnings you get from the sales commission. This is especially important if the program you are in offers low sales to be able to hit ratio.

Who is the online retailer? Find out whom you are doing business with to know if it is really a solid company. Know the products they are selling and the average amount they are achieving. The more you know about the retailer offering you the affiliate program, the easier it will be for you to know if that program is really for you and your site.

Is the affiliate a one tier or two tier program? A single tier program pays you only for the business you yourself have generated. A two tier program pays you for the business, plus it also pays you a commission on the on the sales generated by any affiliate you sponsor in your program. Some two-tier programs are even paying small fees on each new affiliate you sponsor. More like a recruitment fee.

Lastly, what is the amount of commission paid? 5% - 20% is the commission paid by most programs. .01% - .05% is the amount paid for each hit. If you find a program that also pays for impressions, the amount paid is not much at all. As you can see from the figures, you will now understand why the average sales amount and hit to sale ratio is important.

These are just some of the questions that needed answering first before you enter into an affiliate program. You should be familiar with the many important aspects that your chosen program should have before incorporating them into your website. Try to ask your affiliate program choices these questions. These can help you select the right program for you site from among the many available.

Here's Why Using Camtasia Can Increase Your Affiliate Checks

Since there are already lots of people getting into affiliate marketing, it is no wonder that the competition is getting stiff. The challenge is to try and outdo other affiliates and think of ways to be able to attain this.

There are also many tips and techniques being taught to these affiliate in order to best plan their strategy for their program to work effectively so that more earnings will be achieved.

What better way to wow your prospects and customers than to record and publish top notch, full motion and streaming screen-captured videos. Nothing like feeling your hard work getting paid by having your customers jumping up excitedly in great anticipation to buy your product right there and then.

This is Camtasia in action. It is a proven fact; giving your customers something they can actually see can explode your online sales instantly.

You do not need to have trainings and education to be able to know how this system can work for your affiliate program. Anyone can create stunning videos, from multimedia tutorials and step-by-step presentations available online. The process is like having your customers seated next to you and looking at your desktop, as you show them the things they need to see and hear. All this done step by step.

For those who does not know it yet, how does Camtasia works?

1. It can record your desktop activity in a single click. No need to have to save and compile all your files because it is recorded right there and then.

2. Can easily convert your videos into web pages. Once converted you can have your customers visiting that certain page. Videos are easier to understand and take in unlike reading texts which oftentimes is a trying thing to do.

3. Upload your pages. Publish them through blogs, RSS feed and podcasts. You may want your Camtasis videos to get around and reach out to other people that may be potential customers in the future. Nothing like being visible in many sites and pages to advertise yourself and get your message through.

Minimize miscommunication with your customers. Instantly showing them what you want they wanted in the first place is making them understand clearly the essence of your affiliate program. The good thing about multimedia is, nothing much can go wrong. It is there already.

These are just some of the things you can do with Camtasia that can be very helpful in your chosen affiliate program.

Note that the main purpose of using Camtasia is to boost the income that is generated from your affiliate program. Although it can be used for entertainment and enjoyment purposes, which is not really a valid reason why you choose to get all through that trouble.

Try to focus on the goal that you have set upon yourself to and achieve that with the use of the things that may be quite a lot of help in increasing your earnings.

What Works & What Doesn't in Viral Marketing

Stop with the enforced e-mail forwards already! Trying to force or bribe people to forward your info to a friends or family in order to be rewarded or win looks skanky in today's ultra-permission-based world. Especially when you tell visitors nothing about their friend's or family’s privacy in the space directly next to the e-mail form.

A true viral campaign gets forwarded because consumers are compelled to do so by the glory of the content, not because you bribed them with points or something else.

What absolutely will not work:

Suggesting that e-mail recipients forward your message to their friends and family will not work. Adding a line at the bottom of your e-mail that reads “Please feel free to forward this message to a friend” is more likely to get it deleted than forwarded.

What absolutely will work:

Offering something worthy of sharing like a valuable discount, vital information or offering an incentive for sharing like additional entries into a sweepstakes or an added discount or premium service will work.

Relevant or timely information, research, or studies that are included in your e-mail might encourage the recipients to share with their family and friends. Interactive content like a quiz or test, especially if it’s fun, will inspire forwarding.

Jokes and cartoons are almost always forwarded to everybody the recipient knows.  Why?  Because they are entertaining and entertainment is meant to be shared.

A really cool multimedia experience is always going to achieve a lot of pass-along. Rich media is new and the novelty and tech factors alone are often enough to make the e-mail recipient eager to share it.

Oops!  Almost forgot one really important thing….You can craft a brilliant e-mail following all the rules, but if a consumer visits your site and has an experience less that what was promised, you are going to achieve viral marketing, alright…the bad kind.  So be certain that your product or service is ready and is as advertised.

Using Videos in Viral Marketing

More and more advertisers are adopting video as broadband continues to rise and ad-serving technologies become more sophisticated.  Online video advertising is really taking off. Users’ attention can be captured and ads stand out from the crowd in an increasingly ad-cluttered online environment. It is true that video formats cost five to ten times more to serve than standard banners and they involve a lot more production and implementation work but they may well be worth all of that if they achieve greater response rates.

Where to use online video if wishing to maximize its effect, is what advertisers must carefully consider. Video to be used on the Internet should be information and communication focused while video to be used on television should be focused on entertainment.

Like everything else, there are good ways and bad ways to use video advertising. Right now most marketers are incorporating their audio-visual content into existing embedded ad formats like banners or over-content formats like pop-ups. Though this could reach a potentially large audience, viewers are likely to be less captivated and more annoyed by these disruptive and distracting placements.

Cached or streaming video on a specific destination site offers the best chance of interesting consumers in brand messages, but it is not likely to reach a large audience unless it generates a viral outcome.

Whatever you come up with, don't forget to make it easy to open and distribute. File size is important, as is the media format. If your viral video has been created for a particular type of software that not many people use, how will you get people to spread it like wildfire?

Also, if you've made a video the impact will be better if you send the clip as an attachment rather than stream it. It's cheaper and, if you're not hosting it, it's more viral, too.

Four Good Reasons to Use Viral E-books

It is a well known and widely accepted fact, that E-books….FREE E-books…are one of the best weapons in a viral marketing campaign arsenal.  Here are four good reasons why this is true today and will continue to be true for the foreseeable future:

1. E-books are cheap to produce and don’t take long to set up. If you have articles that you have already written about the subject you are promoting, you can simply combine these articles into an E-book.  If, on the other hand, writing isn’t your forte, you can use rebrandable E-books that have been produced by others.  Just use your favorite search engine and do a web search for “rebrandable E-books”.  You will get a lot of hits and have many to choose from.  One way to distribute these E-books to visitors to your website is to give them as a free gift for subscribing to your newsletter. If your E-book contains material that people will want to share with their friends and family, they will pass it along to them… they will pass it along to others…and you will make money.

2. E-books are capable of reaching a large audience.  The only limiting factor is the enthusiasm or the participants.  Therefore, it is absolutely vital that your E-book contain something that people will want to share like timely information or humor.  Remember that people like to know something that the rest of the world needs to know. They will pass along something that makes them look like they are in-the-know.

3. E-books are a way to sell other products other than the one you originally targeted.  For example; if you are selling garden products, your customers could also be interesting in E-books about lawns, trees landscaping, etc.

4. E-books are effective in building your reputation. It is an implied recommendation if you give a quality E-book and users willing pass on to others.

How Do Search Engines Work - Web Crawlers

It is the search engines that finally bring your website to the notice of the prospective customers. Hence it is better to know how these search engines actually work and how they present information to the customer initiating a search.

There are basically two types of search engines. The first is by robots called crawlers or spiders.

Search Engines use spiders to index websites. When you submit your website pages to a search engine by completing their required submission page, the search engine spider will index your entire site. A ‘spider’ is an automated program that is run by the search engine system. Spider visits a web site, read the content on the actual site, the site's Meta tags and also follow the links that the site connects. The spider then returns all that information back to a central depository, where the data is indexed. It will visit each link you have on your website and index those sites as well. Some spiders will only index a certain number of pages on your site, so don’t create a site with 500 pages!

The spider will periodically return to the sites to check for any information that has changed. The frequency with which this happens is determined by the moderators of the search engine.

A spider is almost like a book where it contains the table of contents, the actual content and the links and references for all the websites it finds during its search, and it may index up to a million pages a day.

Example:  Excite, Lycos, AltaVista and Google.

When you ask a search engine to locate information, it is actually searching through the index which it has created and not actually searching the Web. Different search engines produce different rankings because not every search engine uses the same algorithm to search through the indices.

One of the things that a search engine algorithm scans for is the frequency and location of keywords on a web page, but it can also detect artificial keyword stuffing or spamdexing. Then the algorithms analyze the way that pages link to other pages in the Web. By checking how pages link to each other, an engine can both determine what a page is about, if the keywords of the linked pages are similar to the keywords on the original page.

So, what’s your ideal Plan for affiliate success?

Well, to tell you the absolute truth there is no single answer for this question simply because everyone is different...

Your tastes, skills, interests, and overall goals will affect how you decide to organize your network of sites.  The important lesson to take away from this course is how to grow a network of web sites, how to make them viral, and how to promote them for search engine rankings.

This guide is not about telling you how to use your time, efforts and money. You can work at your own pace, and take it one step at a time...and as long as you actually start getting work done you will be able to see results!

Your ideal plan, is the first steps you should be taking to stop working for someone else and start growing your own business.  Your “BLUE PRINT” so to speak, should be FOCUSING every action you take to make your internet presence more valuable to YOU – not someone else.

What This Guide is NOT:

The “Affiliate Marketing Success Road Map” is not a way for you to cheat your visitors, the search engines, or do anything considered unethical.  It really is a straight solution to starting a viral explosion of long term internet profits.

It is not a get rich scheme, or anything else.  The ultimate goal should be to have your own network of sites that grows every month, or every time you take action.

I bet you are wondering why this information isn’t in other “info-products”

The main reason this information isn’t readily available is that the “experts” don’t think you will put the effort out.  They believe that you aren’t willing to put any effort into growing something for yourself.

Not only that but if you are willing to spend 97 dollars on a digital download, and not be any competition – why would they tell you how to start your own network?

I know how hard I am willing to work for success for my family and my children’s future.

Growing a network of sites takes effort and work.  It doesn’t take as much as you think, and you really can work at your own pace.

Did you know that most “affiliate marketers” almost never make more than one sale?  That’s crazy.   I know that if you put effort into building your own network of web sites, that in time your income will grow.  If you just put in an hour a week, you will be so much better off than you are right now.

Affiliate - Road Map

“To succeed at internet marketing you need a growing network of websites. These sites will feed each other traffic, pre-sell affiliate programs, generate adsense revenue, and grow your opt-in e-mail lists.”

There are several ways for you to do this, but they all require a basic skill set.  I’m assuming you know the basics of hosting, getting a website, and creating one.  If you have no idea how to do any of this, it isn’t that hard.

I will be showing you some tools later on that let you create websites and actually “SEE” what you are doing as you do it.  So don’t worry, if you are not quite sure how to put up your own website, get a hosting account and all that other “scary” stuff you: it is really quite easy, and you will learn about it in this guide...

Here really is all you need to do to get started:

1.  Get a domain name
2.  Get a reseller account
3.  Make your first site
4.  Make your second site
5.  Link them together
6.  Promote them
7.  Make another site
8.  Link them together
9.  Promote them
10. REPEAT!

Road Map – First Steps

Get a reseller or Bulk Hosting account

The first step in your Blue Print should be getting your first website.  Make this one a learning experience, but you should also set things up so you have room to grow NOW.  Why would you pay 20 bucks to host a website when you can host 50 websites for just a few dollars more?

There are many hosting companies that offer bulk hosting or reseller accounts. Hostgator, Towerhost, and many others.  Many of them such as Towerhost have training videos to help you get started.

You will need to register a domain name prior to ordering your reseller account.  Again if this is new to you, don’t worry. If you simply go to http://www.godaddy.com/ you will be walked through the few easy steps of getting your very own domain name.

Once you have your first web site hosted, you will want to start laying out your site.

Website Layout

Once you have your hosting and domain name situated, it’s time to start thinking about how your first site is going to look.  There are quite a number of options in regards to how to find your “look”.

·       Join a template membership site - This is not a good idea unless you are comfortable editing PHOTOSHOP files.  AplusTemplates is affordable and they do have a nice selection. The membership is about worthless if you can’t edit the templates or pay someone to do it for you.

·       Get Xarawebstyle4 – Awesome idea with very low learning curve.  I use this on a regular basis still.  I also suggest getting Xarax when you buy webstyle4.  XaraX is about the easiest to use vector based graphic system out there -

·       Get Dreamweaver or Frontpage – Frontpage  has a low learning curve, but Dreamweaver gives you a lot more room to grow.  If you have any students in the household you can get the full Dreamweaver MX suite for about $199.

There are dozens of books and on-line tutorials to help you learn it as well. Michael Worthington creates great videos on Dreamweaver as well.

·       Don’t want to spend the cash? Try NVU:  http://www.nvu.com/ it’s free!

·       Get XsitePro – you will still need a template and one of the editors above, but this product can churn out so many OPTIMIZED pages that it’s worth the investment

·       Or if you just don’t have the time, energy, or skills to learn all that right now and want to get started, you might want to consider joining a program like Niche Site Special.. Niche Site Special gives you completed products and ENTIRE websites every single month. Since you have purchased this product  , I have gotten Special Permission to get you a really nice discount on membership.  Click on that link above, then come back here to get the discount if you like what you see.  Discounted NSS membership.

·       You can also hire someone to make your website – although this will get VERY expensive as you add more and more sites.  A ten page targeted keyword niche site is about 300 to 1000 dollars.  Services like Stmadeveloper offer affordable niche sites, but they can’t always meet demand – so you should probably have a back up.

·       If you make sure your host has “FANTASTICO”, you can install with one click several content management scripts, blogs, and other scripts to help with making a website.  One of the extra benefits of fantastico is that you can keep your forums, blog scripts, and contact forms updated to the latest version and NOT use a programmer.

·       Last and not least you can code the sites yourself.  It’s not that hard to learn HTML. There are literally thousands of on-line tutorials.  Using a wysiwyg editor may be the easiest option for new learners.  If you are willing to get started, but don’t want to put the funds out for expensive software, tools, or editors – go back up to the link to NVU and download it.  You will need to learn a little, but NVU is a great alternative to hand coding.

The Absolute Simplest And Easiest Way To Get Started!

There are many ways you can get started, you can set up your own website, create a viral e-book...and those are all pretty easy, but still not the absolute easiest!

I would say that the easiest way to get started is Blogging.  Running a blog that you can install via fantastico is a new webmasters dream.  One click installation, and then all you have to do is add content.  Wordpress is a great choice for a new Blogger, but even if you can’t afford to get hosting or domain names yet, you can still get started Blogging.

Do a search for free Blogs, but chances are you will end up wanting to use Blogger.com – they are free and the Blogs are quite nice.
The best part about using Blogs is that they actually “ping” services to tell them that you have added new content.  Many of those places then syndicate your content and that brings you back links and plenty of public awareness.

Blogging isn’t for everyone.  I know I struggle with it, because I don’t really like talking about what I am doing – I would just rather DO IT.  But a Blog is a great way to both accomplish something and DO something all at once. Give it a shot – remember you can start a Blog up for free.  You will want to add revenue streams into your blog by customizing. What to base your web sites on?

Many experts on the subject of Niche Sites will tell you that you have to pick high paying keywords only.  There are so many searches on so many topics every day that you really can get traffic and interest in just about any “sub” category you want.

What I am saying is - don’t make your sites about fishing – make them about Walleye fishing instead.  A great free way to pick your topics a little easier is:  http://www.nichebot.com/ Just enter in a major keyword and it will spit out some other suggestions and help you find your competition.

Your first site should be about something you enjoy.  Writing for the Keywords isn’t any fun, so pick a topic you know something about and just do it.

How exacly do you pick a topic?

There are many places to pick a topic for your site. My favorite I think is the Lycos Top 50.

It’s not the most popular search engine, but the Top 50 list is a great way to find what people are searching for.  They also keep archives.  Here is the URL:  http://50.lycos.com/

If you’re just starting out your not going to be able to compete with the top 50 that are listed, but with a little imagination, you can come up with sub topics based on what Lycos tells you.  If you keep looking long enough, you might even find some patterns and be able to figure out some of the future top searches –

Use a keyword service.  There are literally hundreds of software programs that help you pick keywords. I like SeoLite by Brad Callen – however, it has a very hefty price tag.  There are other services offering keywords on particular niches for as low as $15 per month. I suggest shopping around until you find one you are happy with.

If you are really looking to see what is popular – go find some of the most visited blogs on the net.  What are they writing about and getting people to leave comments?  If people are taking the time to comment on someone else’s blog – it’s a good thing.

Just write about what you are interested in.  Passion will win out every day of the week.   If you turn out ‘real’ content that serves a purpose the engines will eat you up and other sites will link to you.  That might mean you have to leave the “internet marketing” field, but the rewards are tremendous.

Go to Amazon.com and “browse top sellers”. This is a great way to find out what everyone is buying.  In case you haven’t figured it out yet – go to where the public interest is.

Use “nichebot” - http://www.nichebot.com/. It lets you enter in keywords and it will return the top results.  Use it to find niches that have less competition.

How to Find Good Content And Fill Up Your Website

Forums are filled with people who know more about any given topic than you do.  While you can’t plagiarize what they are saying, you sure can learn a lot.  If you don’t understand something there will be people to help you.

When I come up with a new niche idea, or concept for a content site, one of the first things I do is go to sitepoint.com.
A few hours reading through sitepoint can be worth several thousand dollars in ideas.

There are also other great forums, but when it comes to internet marketing there is none better than the “Warrior Forum”

There are places like Niche Site Special that sells entire website packs, places like Nicheology that sells the “guts” of an idea, or freelancers who have article packs.

Also, if you are looking to get a whole lot of content all at once, go to

And check out Dima Sorokine’s package, there is a lot of great content in it and it is well worth every penny of the price he charges.

Another place to get exactly what you want written is in forums. Just ask for writers to give you bids on content about XYZ.  You can also go to places like Scriptlance and get 100’s of writers, programmers, and editors bidding on your project.

Just beware – you get what you pay for. Many “low” bids will just be stolen work. Make sure you use Copyscape on anything you buy…before you pay.

I realize though that I am not an expert on everything.  There are thousands of people that know more than I do about a zillion things.  When it’s time to write some new content on something I am not very familiar with, I start reading blogs, forums, and articles on the topic.

I take notes so I can refresh myself on the topics.  When I am done learning about the topic I sit down and start writing.   I end up with an original piece of work, and my notes let me reference any sources that I should.

Search Engine Optimization is a must – each step of the way

As you create your sites you need to keep several things in mind. The most important part is making your sites search engine friendly right off the bat.

Here are some tips and resources to help you accomplish that properly.

1.) Pick keywords using a free service or a paid service like seolite, wordtracker, or others.  I usually get by using Mcdar and Nichebot.

2.) Make sure your pages all  have Meta-tags and Titles.  Learn a little about meta-tags at places like http://www.seo4dummies.com

3.) Make sure you link to your other sites using anchor text.
4.) Learn to read your web stats- http://www.track-it-now.info .  Chances are your site already has awstats in the control panel and that will be all you need to really see who is visiting your site and what keywords are bringing them there.

5.) Link all your pages back to your home page using Anchor Text Links.

6.) Make sure you understand the basic principles of Search Engine Optimization.  Sites like sitepoint.com , seo4dummys.com and others can help you.

7.) BUILD LINKS – using anchor text terms.

Make Your Sites Easy To Edit And Link To Other Sites You Own

NOTE: Some of the parts in this section of the guide are a little technical, but once again don’t worry if you don’t understand. This guide is more about fundamentals than tech stuff anyways.

For advanced users on a Linux/Unix server you should be using includes wherever you can. When you have 50 websites and you want to make changes it’s a nightmare to edit a few thousand pages by hand.

There are several ways to do includes – both with PHP and with Server Side Includes – do a Search to find the one that is right for you.

You should be linking your sites together on a regular basis.  This will make your sites viral – people will click from site to site so they don’t have to go back and search from scratch.

Make As Many Sites As You Like With Out Spending More Money

Once you have your first site complete you are actually already 80 percent completed on your next site.  Did you realize that you now own the rights to the words you have written?

You don’t want to use duplicate content if you can avoid it – so rewrite what you have written for the first site.  For just about 20 percent more work you have two completed sites.

You should link all these sites together for maximum effect.

Again, I like to write in “themes” more than I go for just keywords. I’m trying to build an avalanche of traffic and repeat visitors – not just a quick click on adsense. If I provide some valuable information on my web sites I find that the Bookmark ratio is great and I get repeat visitors and more “free” links back to my sites.

Pumping Your Websites Full Of Traffic

As may have already known, there are more ways than one to get people to visit your websites. Here are the easiest and most basic ways to do this...

On-line Classifieds:

It’s been widely reported that On-line Classifieds are a complete waste of time – and they are if you are trying to use them to promote a web site.  However, using them for free link backs to your site isn’t a bad idea.

This isn’t worth a whole lot of your time – so don’t concentrate on it.  A few links in classifieds are a good idea though as they are free back links to your site.  Some paid services like USfreeads allow you to make whole pages to promote your site/ad.

This is a great way to get a back link with some highly targeted surrounding text.  The benefit will be up to you though as there are other places to do the same thing for free.

Smart E-zine Advertising :

If you place an e-zine ad and NEVER get a sale did you waste all your money? Not if the e-zine you published your ad with actually has an on-line archive.

Anytime your Live URL is active somewhere it is usually a good thing.  Search for e-zine with affordable rates and advertise in them with your ‘anchor text’ terms.

If you don’t know what anchor text is…. Go here:  http://seo-branding.info/anchor.htm

If you have never advertised in an E-zine before and are a little hesitant may I suggest going to

– Merle has done a great job of setting a site up where you can actually BID on advertising space.

Directory listings:

Directory Listings are a very important part of the Search Engine Optimization game – and if you do it right you can even generate traffic this way.  Here is a list of a ton of free directories – this is the best resource I have found period.

They are changing formats right now to also include paid listings, but it does not appear that they will be getting rid of their free directory listings.

Paid directory inclusions may be a good idea if you can find a “niche” directory that is getting targeted traffic to your sites topic.  This will be the only way you can count on getting some traffic in return for the directory listings, if any traffic is generated from the “free” listings it will be just through luck for the most part.  The main reason you are submitting to the directories is for a nice high PR backlink.

Link exchanges: how to do them right – and make sure you aren’t ripped off.

Link exchanges are a fast way to brand your website.  You can't do it automated though, you need to write to other webmasters and ask them to exchange links with you.

It will take time and I think it's almost a waste of time. Sure some people will argue with me, but I know how hard it is.
Instead why don't you go to where webmasters are searching for link exchanges already?

There are 100's of webmaster forums, marketing forums and more where other webmasters are working on their branding......and they want to exchange links with you!

Right now I have 4 posts on various forums looking for link partners. I put them up this morning and tonight I have 11 link exchanges complete.  I can already see the increase in traffic and Google has already "found" one of my websites that it hadn't crawled yet. By this time tomorrow I will have a 4 new websites on their way to a profitable future and a higher search engine ranking.  It didn't take much time, and the results are phenomenal.

I disagree with trading links just for a Page Rank boost – if I am taking space up on my website I expect some traffic in return.  So make sure you ask your linking partners if they are getting any traffic

If you are not getting much traffic yet it’s hard to be pushy on this topic. You are just going to have to gamble on their site growing as yours does.

Believe it or not exchanging links is risky business and there are many ways for you to get cheated EVEN WHEN YOU SEE YOUR LINK ON THEIR SITE!

Stuff to watch out for:
1.) Robots.txt file

Did you know that in the root directory of every website there is a robot.txt file that tells the search engine spiders where to go or not go?  They can tell them to not follow your link.  After a new link exchange wait a few days (and on a regular basis if your suspicious), check it out. Most of the time you can view it by going to

http://www.theirdomain.com/robots.txt

You can also change your user agent for your browser to be "Googlebot", and if you don't see your link on their site, neither do the search engines.  This is a little complicated to do – so you should really do a search and get some expert advice before you try it.

2.) Making your hyperlink not able to be followed by the search engines.  This is pretty easy and all you have to do is view the page source. Look for this type of code: <a href="http://www.yoursite.com" rel=nofollow">Your site name</a>

Of course, yoursite.com and your site name would be your link. The "nofollow" part tells the search engines NOT to follow your link to your site.  You won't get a PR credit for that link.

3.) Javascript usually isn't spidered by google. So if your link is inside javacode you are probably wasting your time.

4.) Inline Frames.  Inline frames are other websites "nested" inside a website.  You can usually tell they are there because they have a scroll bar, but they don't always.  View the page source and look for tell tale signs of a inline frame.

5.)  The most common way of cheating of course, is to take YOUR link off their page a few weeks later.  An organized plan of keeping track of who is linking to you is in order before you even start. I collect the person I am exchanging links with name, email, hyperlink url, and text. I also collect the exact page they say they are listing me on.........

Do Press releases

A well written press release is a great way to both boost page rank and get some immediate traffic – don’t expect a flood though. I’m not going to teach you to be a writer here, but every good press release has the basic laws of Journalism...who, what, when, where, why and how.

A press release is not an ad and shouldn’t be written as such.  Read a newspaper article and your press release should be the same format.

A great suggestion on when to release your press release is once you know ALL the bugs are worked out of your website.

Using forums to really get the traffic flowing

I spend 30 minutes a day in forums.  Why?  It makes me money and I get to do what I enjoy – helping people.

See most forums allow you to post your signature below your name (look for the place where you edit your profile in the menu).  This should be active anchor text links for the maximum benefit.  Almost every single “helpful” post I do get at least 3 or 4 click throughs to my sites.  That’s on the day I do it. Over the “life” of the post I usually get hit by the search engines if the forum is SEO friendly, and several more clicks.  I did a test with one of my sites a few months ago. I only linked to it in forums and had it set up so the Search Engines wouldn’t index it.

After 30 days I had 1900 unique visitors.  Remember I only spend about 30 minutes in forums a day.  I spend that time participating instead of promoting though.  The best part about Forum Traffic that you get because you helped someone is that they already have built a relationship with you.  Don’t be one of those confrontational jerks.  If your genuinely helpful and do forum posting on a regular basis, it really can be your only method of promotion.

If you are not experienced at this you might not be aware of some of the more popular forums or forums that are search engine friendly. Here is a short list to get you started:

Blogs – should you be a “Blogger”?

One word – YES!  Blogs are a great way to really drive the Search Engines where you want them to go plus they generate a ton of traffic if you write well.

If you can’t write well, well that is what reprint rights on articles are for.

If you have fantastico in your webhosting control panel you can set up wordpress in about 5 seconds.

Did you know that if you have a blog other sites want to know (and link back to you) the moment you make a new post?  It’s called pinging and while I could fill another 30 pages on this, I don’t have too.  Just do this.

1.)Install wordpress.

2.)Set it up the way you like it via the admin panel.

3.)Under “options” click the “writing” link.

4.)Scroll down until you see “Update Services”. There is probably a single link in a box below that just add all this:

Every single url there will be ‘notified’ after you make a post on your blog.  I use my blogs (yes, I have more than one), to promote my products, tell others what I am doing, goof off, and of course for the obvious Search Engine benefits.

Google SiteMap (Beta)

Google has released the ability for every day webmasters like us to actually TELL them about our sites.  All you have to do is upload to Google a “XML COMPLIANT” sitemap.  They have a certain format they want it in.

If your feeling like your froggy, go do a search for a google site map generator.  I had a heck of a time using all of the ones I could find out there...

I finally found one that worked on my server and was a breeze to set up.

They say that this script won’t work on all servers, so if it doesn’t work on yours, just ask for a refund and they will give you one if they can’t get it to work for you.

It’s part of NicheSiteSpecial – but if you don’t want to join you can just order the site map generator.

Our testing using this tool is leading us to believe that it should be an integral part of your promotions.  Just one of the sites we have used it on has over 500 pages listed in Google in just under 3 weeks.

Using articles to generate traffic

If you can’t write an article you should have a couple written for you by a decent writer.  These articles are a gold mine of traffic, Page Rank, and of course establishing yourself as an expert in your field.  I have written hundreds of articles under various pen names to point to a multitude of my sites, and my client’s sites.

It’s getting harder to use the article directories to generate traffic though, because unlike a few months ago – all these directories are getting stripped by bots and scrapers for the content.  You have the right to have your resource box intact when it’s published.  Do searches for your articles title and if you find they aren’t linking back to you correctly contact them and ask them politely.

If they don’t fix their obvious “oversight”, you do have the right to contact their host, to inform them that they are publishing your copy written work with out your permission.  The host can be held liable if they don’t force the site to comply.  I’m not a lawyer, but you can also send a cease and desist order, and several other things to force them to comply.

My favorite places to submit articles are:

There are literally hundreds of places to submit your articles.  Make sure you post in as many places as you have time for, or purchase one of the “submitters” to do it automatically.  I recommend doing your homework on these though as many out there are outdated.

The fact is you don’t need to spend thousands getting secret software to get indexed.  You just need to write great articles.

Your article should have:

·       A great title –  this is no different than using something catchy in an ad.

·       A Great TOPIC – if no one is interested in what you are writing about why should you expect anyone to publish it?

·       A resource box to “close” the sale.

·       And above all you have to promote it.  Submit it to several directories.  Link to it in your forum signatures, link to it from your websites.  If you do this – it will get published.

Don’t forget to proofread your article – bad grammar can kill its effectiveness.
Paid link purchases – getting your moneys worth

There is nothing wrong with buying links.  If you were to purchase Search Engine Optimization from a company this is what they will be doing – why are you going to pay someone else to do it for you. Go to http://text-link-ads.com/ and other similar sites to purchase links.

The good news about purchased links is you are not only buying Search Engine rankings, but in many cases you are also buying immediate traffic. If you have set your network of sites up to send traffic to itself, that’s even better.

Great places to get FREE keyword rich links

While directories, classifieds, e-zine ads and other places all give you a way to get links back to your site – how many places let you fill in the content and keywords for the pages your links appear on?

Not many.

I have found several sites made by Stmadeveloper that allow free advertising.  The first is http://www.stmadvertising.com  – it’s ad free and you can make your own keyword rich page that includes keywords, page title, and more.

Another one is

http://www.groupmarketingsolutions.com they have a link in the members area to create a “product” review.  It is acceptable to make another search engine friendly page for your website there.  Here is an example of what one looks like:

Imagine if you did this for every affiliate program you were involved in?

I’m telling you my secret places I have found for myself to get Search Engine Traffic from – I hope you take advantage of my own resources and use them for your benefit.

Sticking It All Together And Getting Everything To Work

Here is exactly what I do to earn income every day from affiliate programs and Adsense.  I’m not holding anything back the only thing you really need to learn is how to register a domain name, host it, and build it. If you already have those skills you can put my plan into action today.

I’ve hit parts of the plan above and basically given you an outline of all the things I use to set the plan into action.  But here is exactly what I do with every site I make.

The first thing I do is pick a topic.

Let’s say for example the topic is Search Engine Optimization.  I know I will never rank well for Search Engine Optimization the competition is just to fierce.

instead of trying to rank well fro SEO, I am going for “seo branding” which does get searches but there is a lot less competition.

I’m narrowing down the terms I need to rank well for – but more importantly I will cross promote several of my other sites. Building up page rank and pass through traffic as I go.

When traffic comes to it, they will either close the window, click an adsense ad, or follow through to one of my other sites.

I could have gone further and added a newsletter, or other promotional material.  I like to keep my sites light and loading fast though.

Once I have the site up, it’s time to start building links up – I go through and do everything I listed above for each site as I make it. It only takes a couple hours and the return over the next couple of months is worth it.

I then start another site – either on a similar topic or totally off the wall, and keep going.  I work at this for about an hour a day 5 days a week. I now have over 100 websites out there.  There is no reason you can’t do this.

How To Save Some Time

If your crunched for time – who isn’t?  There are some great ways to both reduce the amount of time needed to get your network off the ground and save you money.

·       Buy content outright: You can find writers in almost any forum.

·       Buy completed websites – check out sitepoint and namepros.com for websites for sale.

·       Have someone make you a website – I suggest going with a reputable company for this.  OR make sure you use copyscape on whatever you purchase.  I’ve redone many content sites that my clients paid someone else to make and they later found themselves having stolen content.

·       Join a service like Nichesitespecial.com that gives you all the sites, products, and materials you need to start your own website network.

·       Join a membership site like nicheology that just gives you the framework of a product or website. Or, buy the package from http://www.privte-label-resell-rights.com

·       Join other sites that give content as part of their membership site.

·       Buy content packs from the Warrior Forum Special Offers section.

·       Rewrite your own previous content to cut down on time.

·       Or if your just looking for speed and money saving – just republish others articles and include the resource box.

That should be enough to get you started down the road to becoming your own webmaster of a powerful network.  Getting started is the most important part – so go do that right now.

If you feel overwhelmed and know you need help, I really suggest you join one of the niche site membership sites that are out there. just make sure they will give you video tutorials, content, materials, and full web site content to get you started.

Final Words

What I have just given you is the basic plan, a road map to affiliate success that can be duplicated over and over again until you have dozens of websites all linked with one another providing you with a nice monthly income...all from the comfort of your own home J

Now, I’m sure you can set aside a few hours a day to follow this road map to affiliate success and get started on your very first website in the very near future.

But before you do anything, I must say this:

While the information I have given you can easily be used to make dozens of websites they generate thousands of dollars a month of income...your first website will be the hardest one to make simply because you have very little experience.

But once you make your first website, your next one will be much easier and before you know it you’ll be pumping them out as if you have some sort of website factory!

So just because making your first website is not the easiest thing in the world, don’t get discouraged...it gets much easier!

Good Luck!
